We got a chance to get some questions to the junior running back after the game against Rockwood.
SORSN: Daniel, with Woody getting hurt prior to half time, you had to step in under center. Had you ever played QB before? (little league, Jr High)
Bredwell: Yes, I have played QB all my life. Until my sophomore year when I thought I would like to try Running Back.
SORSN: You showed speed and sharp cutting ability against Rockwood. Do you feel that you’ve made a case for the #1 tailback spot in the near future?
Bredwell: I have been trying for the #1 spot but, I don’t know how close or how far I am. I hope to have that spot secured by my senior year.
SORSN: The offense and defense looked strong the 1st half, what do you think went wrong in the 2nd half?
Bredwell: Well everybody was getting hurt and I think that everybody on offense and defense was giving up.
SORSN: During the game against Rockwood, you only dropped back to pass once…..which you nearly got decapitated. If you’re under center against Jellico, will we see you drop back to pass more?
Bredwell: I don’t know because we are trying new people at QB. So he (Coach Moser) can keep me in the backfield. If not I probably will be dropping back more than once.
SORSN: With the absence of both starting QB’s and the starting RB has anyone stepped up to try to fill some leadership role?
Bredwell: Some of our running backs have stepped it up in practice and are looking good. You may see numerous running backs against Jellico.
SORSN: What’s your personal routine for getting ready for a ball game? Any superstitions?
Bredwell: I like to listen to Brad Paisley “Little Moments” and get a kiss from my girlfriend before the game.
(Hopefully the girls parents don’t know about this site)
SORSN: Would you consider one of your greatest achievements in life is being interviewed for SORSN.com?
Bredwell: Yes, because I have never been interviewed for anything on a website.
