Interviews with the Seniors

Since last Friday night’s game against Coalfield was the last regular season home game for this years Seniors, we asked all the Seniors these 3 questions:

1) Tell us about your most memorable moment playing football for MHS?

2) If you had one thing to leave to an underclassman – what would you leave and who would you leave it to?

3) What do you plan to do after you graduate?

Here are their replies:

Justin Pressley
1. When the Greenback nation came to SOR and we shut them out, and when #9 team in the State Coalfield thought they were going to beat us and we stomped them 21-0.

2. I would probably leave my cleats to N-Dave so he can run faster and my gloves to Bredwell cause he can’t catch a cold.

3. Hopefully I’m going to go to college and then decide the rest from there.

Andrew Davidson
1. When Coalfield come to our house and we shut them out 21-0 because it was one of the most important games of the year.

2. I would leave my Jersey number, #8. I would leave it for Harley or Steven.

3. Hopefully go to college, but if not I’ll probably work for my dad.

Spencer Myers
1. Being Region Champs and shutouts on Greenback and Coalfield. Playing QB, all the coaches, and those great muddy practices.

2. Time flies so have fun and kick some butt.

3. Go to college in Nashville, NADC.

Bryan Noland
1. Shutting out Coalfield so they would shut their mouths.

2. I would leave Sam my lucky black socks.

3. Go to College.

Steve Stansbury
1. The first game I ever played high school ball it was the Lookout valley game my freshman year. I was running down field beside someone on our team was about to score when bam I got my welcome to football hit! I didn’t play another snap that game.

2. My position as center for whoever steps it up the best and hardest.

3. I have joined the Marine Corp. so right after I graduate I’m going to boot camp! Hopefully college after that and a lot of visits to pre- Moe’s.

Keith Norris
1. My junior year I was playing on placement, and I got ran over about every time. But I got in their face.

2. The SOR go the “SOR FEVER” will not die out. Tanner Roberson

3. Go to ITT Tech and play in the NFL.

(FYI: Keith – not sure but don’t think the NFL recruits much at ITT Tech since they don’t have a football program)

Cody Turpin
1. Hard to say but I guess my interception 2 years ago in Oakdale.

2. My looks so they can be as “studly” as me.

3. I hope to keep playing football.

Caleb Clark
1. Last year against Unaka, on Kickoff I laid out the same kid like 5 times, and Greenback and Coalfield shutouts this year.

2. I’d leave my wits to my cousin Harley Davidson #27. He’s not the brightest crayon in the box. (Just playing)

3. Go to college that has a football team. Find something I’m interested in and get a degree.

Jude O’Toole
1. All the time we wait for a game to start and Coach Moser’s speeches.

2. I think I would just tell everyone to play with everything you have because you know you’re going to miss it.

3. Watch SOR Football.

Zach Moore
1. Well… this is a very hard question to answer because of everything about football is memorable, but one thing stood out to me was in spring practice, the conditioning part of practice. We never knew what Coach Moser would do. There was once he yelled “grab a plate (45 pound weight) and follow me!” We had to jog all of Bacon Ridge with the weights over our head. I know it seems strange that this is the most memorable but it’s moments like this when you are training with your family; sweating, bleeding, throwing up to make each other stronger. I remember this because it took a lot as a team to get through.

2. I would leave John Russell my shoulder pads. Because he says they are light and he is going to take them when I graduate.

3. Spencer and I are going to go to NADC together and we are going to open up a garage in SOR. True Story!
