Donald Cleveland played post for the Waves during the ‘70s. He was big, tall, lanky, and took up a lot of space; slow but with long arms and big hands. Donald played along side Paul and Terry Henly and the three of them made a great team.
Paul and Terry were the stars leading the scoring most every night but one Friday night we played Loudon at home and this particular night belonged to “Cleve”. Donald as I remember had about 15 points, a number of rebounds, a block shot or two, and was the one who shined the Waves to beat Loudon. His dad, who never missed a game, worked in Loudon and walked tall that next week, his son being the star that led Midway over the Redskins.
