The score was beyond reach and all was calm as the players and fans waited for the final inning to come to an end. But the score and the game quickly became a distant thought as Midway’s Josh Borum entered the game as a pinch runner.
Josh took his position on 1st base and waited for instructions from Coach Ruffner.
Josh is better known as the enthusiastic young man on the football sidelines. During this past football season, the players, teachers, and community came together to help purchase a letterman jacket for Josh. A jacket that Josh proudly wore.
It was a fantastic idea to put him in the game. Josh has more passion for Greenwave sports than all of us combined and this was a moment that Josh will remember the rest of his life.
