The game featured many big plays from many different players making the pick for the SORSN Helmet Award winner very difficult. Chinn and Stansbury both had big defensive plays, Lloyd had an amazing touch down catch, Woody had 2 TD passes and 115 total passing yards, Roberson had the big field goad plus a reception. Plus many more players and plays that I’m sure I’ve failed to mention….but it’s Austin Parkison “AP” who stands out in Week 1 as the SORSN Helmet Award Winner.
AP had a fumble recovery, a touch down reception, broke up 3 Rockwood passes, and had an opening kickoff return that he nearly took the distance.
