Week 1 Interview with Coach Moser

SORSN: C-Mo, congratulations on a huge season opening win on Friday night. Your thoughts on the overall team performances against Claiborne County?

Coach Moser: Good effort, motivated, good defense, too many mistakes

SORSN: Coach a lot of folks were wondering what the heck we were doing playing at Claiborne County, a 3A school near the Kentucky line, as a season opener. As a matter of fact, SORSN.com staff had to do some serious mapquesting to actually find Claiborne County (yes we were in Coach Hayes geography class). Does a win against them help you feel vindicated for putting Claiborne County on the schedule?

Coach Moser: I don’t know about vindicated. We like to play different people. We also like to play at least one road game that is a good haul. If you play in the play offs, and have to travel; well, we feel that the team needs that experience.

SORSN: Coach, early season games are many times decided by conditioning. It appeared that the Waves were the better conditioned team on Friday night. Did you see more participation in the summer program this year?

Coach Moser: Participation was good as usual. We’ll see Friday night if we are in good enough shape.

SORSN: Legendary Coach Stanley Galyon used to say (among other things and not all of them not printable here) that teams were either mules or racehorses. It appears as if you may have a team of racehorses this year. Does a “racehorse” team suit your coaching style best?

Coach Moser: aayy wha kinda #### queston is the deal? So forth dag gum Norma Jean what not not equals zero on the deal.

I don’t care if we pull the wagon all day or sprint ahead of the field, as long as it produces wins.

SORSN: Coach there are many changes on the staff this year, could you tell us how those new coaches have impacted the program?

Coach Moser: All the coaches have done a great job. We still do things the way we have always done them, but the new coaches have brought some new insight to their positions. I think it is going to pay off in the near future.

SORSN: As a followup, does Coach Walker still wear those really tight, really small 1980 coaches’ shorts?

Coach Moser: Did you not see the baggy shorts he wore at the Jamboree?

SORSN: The season takes a serious turn this week with a huge rivalry home game against the Rockwood Tigers. How do you turn the team’s attention from the opening week win, to the home opener?

Coach Moser: Rockwood is a good team as always. The players know the kind of effort that it will take Friday night. Rockwood has our full attention.

SORSN: Coach we noticed some interviews with another well known local publication last week regarding the famously named Harley Davidson, (which SORSN.com uncovered in an interview a couple of years ago). Coach can you confirm SORSN.com’s place as the first source for all breaking news in the Green Wave program?

Coach Moser: Everyone knows that sorsn.com is the home of the Midway Football media. All other media outlets are secondary to SORSN.COM.

SORSN: Thanks Coach and good luck against the Tigers

Coach Moser: GO BIG GREEN
