SORSN: A tough home opening loss Friday night against a physical Rockwood team. After looking at the film, can you share with us some of your thoughts about Friday nights game?
Coach Moser: We got our tail kicked.
SORSN: Coach, the score doesn’t reflect that this was a competitive ballgame. A Green Wave turnover or two and a couple of plays later and its a two touchdown lead for the Tigers. A couple of bad breaks and the players heads were hanging low as they walked off the field. How difficult is it to convenience the team to keep their head up and look ahead to the next series? Is it possible to replicate these scenarios in practice to help a team to better handle situations such as this?
Coach Moser: In need of leadership!
SORSN: Amidst the turnovers, there were some bright spots this past week. The kickoff coverage greatly improved since the prior week and Poe, aka “The Raven”, seems likely to make something happen when he gets his hands on the ball. Do you adjust the game plan or make many changes based on the first two weeks of games?
Coach Moser: Major adjustments need to be made when you give up 42 points.
SORSN: Coach the season doesn’t slow down for any performance, good or bad, and another Friday night is just around the corner. What can you tell us about the Oakdale team that comes to town this week?
Coach Moser: Their coach says we don’t have a chance.
Couldn’t have answered these better myself. Coach thanks for taking the time, good luck and we look forward to getting things back on track this week. Go Big Green.
