The Lady Waves got a needed win against the visiting Sunbright Tigers on Monday night, 53-48, to avenge a loss to the Tigers earlier in the year. Haley Parks returned to the rotation, her first game back since suffering an injury at Harriman at the start of the New Year.
Rebounding was the key to the victory according to Coach Woody.
“I think our rebounding is making a difference. We have got to get more confident in our shooting. We are playing more as a team and getting more people in the scoring column, however, just need more points from them. Freshman Audrey Bullard has stepped up since Parks’ injury and is really helping our team. I hope to see her progress as we go into the tournament. This team is finally getting the concept of playing hard for the entire game which is great and a lot more fun to watch.”
