There is a correction from last week Sunbright played David Brainerd not BYE. After contacting many D. Brainerds from around the state it was actually learned that David Brainerd is a school in Chattanooga not a person. Sunbright lost against D. Brainerd (the school) but picked up a win this past week against Jellico.
Harriman lost in the last 2 minutes to Kingston Thursday night. Oneida came up with a big win against Hampton. Coalfield lost against a very improved Wartburg team and Greenback came away with a win against Hancock County.
Oakdale played the team BYE this week and while scouts were sent to Oakdale to watch the game, BYE must have yet again hosted the game because there was no game at Oakdale school this past Friday. Rumors have it that BYE is an out of state private school on account of the initials B Y E but nobody can figure out what they mean. Also TSSAA refuses to acknowledge results from their games and no film can be found on them.
After a quick look at all region schedules BYE will have played all teams so the next question… “Is BYE eligible for the playoffs?”
