On a recent bird hunting trip to Idaho, I took some advice from some hardcore hunting friends. “Have a good pair of hunting boots and a good rain suit”. Last year on the same trip, I purchased a low end pair of hiking boots and had the rocky terrain destroy the side of the boot in only four days of hunting allowing my little piggy to peek out and the water to get in. Also I have owned several low end rain suits. The last one was advertised as soft and quit which it was. But they failed to inform you that it’s soft exterior absorbed water increasing the weight by at least ten pounds. I have always believed in having a quality firearm, bow, rod & reel, and good sun glasses. I am still managing to get by with the less expensive clothing.
This year I purchased a premium pair of boots coasting over 200 dollars. The held up well, but did show some ware after my Idaho trip. They are by far the most comfortable boot that I have owned. Next upgrade will be a rain suit.
Take someone hunting, Greg
