The Waves are coming off a disappointing season home opener loss against Sale Creek. The game was tight in the first half, but penalties, turnovers and perhaps fatigue set in on the Waves in the second half. This week, the mean green look to rebound as they hit the road north west to Red Boiling Springs. The Waves will have their hands full with these Bulldogs high on mineral water. RBS is coming off a beat down of Sunbright, 61-0.
How much will the Greenwave improve from game 1 to game 2? Let’s ask the panel:
Tyson Canup (0-1): I’m looking for the Waves to come out hot this week and right the ship. The loss last week was a tough one, but Coach O’Toole has a recipe for the secret sauce. Mistakes are made to be learned from and I expect the team to go to work and dismantle Red Boiling Springs, 28-14.
Chris Barry (0-1): Shew, man a week one loss is tough especially due to penalties and turnovers. The good thing is those are all learnable and teachable faults. I have no doubt wish.com Mr. Clean aka coach O’toole has drilled this team on it and has them ready to take down our week 2 opponent. I have faith that our Greenwaves will bounce back with force this Friday. They will come out hot and drive the field on their first possession! I got the Waves by 1 score 21-14. Let’s get ‘em Boys!! Go big green!!!
Travis Jackson (0-1): It’s time to learn from your mistakes and make gains on the field. The Bulldogs of Red Boiling Springs put up 61 last Friday over Sunbright. When you put up that many points people should take notice and be prepared for a shootout. I know O’Toole and his coaches have planned and schemed all week to slow down that Bulldog scoring machine. I don’t think it will be a blowout like they had last Friday as Midway always comes to play but I think the Bulldogs take the W and send the Greenwave back to SOR 0-2. This might be me using reverse psychology 🤷🏼♂️
Jason Lloyd (0-1): The Greenwaves had a tough opening night loss last week and are looking to rebound. However, I think Red Boiling Springs offense, who put up 61 points last week, will be too much to handle and the Waves will fall to 0-2. Without a strong kicking game to lean on, like in the late 90s, I think the Waves lose a close one this week 28-21.
Ethan Crabtree (0-1): This week’s game is gonna be a tough one. Midway fought hard last week and just setback after setback kept them from moving forward and pulling out the win last week against Sale Creek. Red Boiling Springs had a really good game last week and pulled out a win in fashion against Sunbright 61-0. That being said, the Green Waves have a big game ahead of them against a team who has a head of steam. I am going to have to pick Red Boiling Springs for this one, but I sure hope I am wrong and the Waves can pull one out!
Barry Boo Narramore (0-1): The last time I remember going to Red Boiling Springs the Green put a beat down on the Bulldogs. 42-8 if I remember right. This week won’t be so easy but the Midway boys will get it done. Midway 30 RBS 16.
