Midway (4-3, 1-3) rallied last week to before running out of time to fall 20-28 to Oliver Springs. That region loss means Midway needs to win out to make it to post season play. Tonight (Thursday), the Greenwave head across the hill to Greenback to take on the Cherokees. The struggling ‘kees have only 1 win on the season, a 34-6 victory over Oakdale, with 5 lopsided losses.

Ralton Emory (7-0): The Waves get to rebound this week against one of their oldest true rivals. The Greenback Cherokees have been in every football district, region, section since the proverbial beginning of time. The Blount County rejects are having a down year with a lot of off the field turmoil. While the green can’t take them lightly. I think the Waves win on a short week.
