Lady Waves Lose the Ball and the Game

The Lady Waves are a young team but still had high hopes coming into the season, especially after a 2-0 record in a tournament to start the season. However, with the 55-34 loss Monday night to Coalfield, the young Lady Waves have dropped 5 in a row.

The Lady Waves’ ball handling proved to be a weakness. Unforced turnovers helped Coalfield Lady Jackets quickly build out a 20 point game in the first half.

A bright spot for the Lady Waves is the play of Lyndsay “DownTown” Davidson. She continues to be their primary scoring source. “DownTown” Davidson was again the leading scorer with 17, followed by Kayla Mundy with 7.

The Lady Waves outscored Coalfield 17-9 in the final stanza but it wasn’t near enough.

The girls will be looking to put one in the Win column as they welcome in Sunbright on Friday night. Get’m girls!
