The Lady Waves, coming off a much needed win over TSD, got win #3 as they beat the Sunbright Lady Tigers 27-26.
Kristen Gable, the junior post, again led the Lady Waves with 11 points.

Midway Boys Fall Short
It wasn’t a happy ending for the Greenwaves in the boy’s game as they would lose 52-54 to Sunbright in what was a heated ending.
Down by 6, the game looked over the Greenwaves; however, a Sunbright player lost his cool and got two technical fouls and then an escort from the gym. This sent senior Jeremy Woody to the line to shoot 4 free-throws of which he hit all 4.
After the free-throws, the Greenwaves with possession were only down 2 with just under 2 seconds left in the game. But Sunbright came up big as they deflected the inbounds pass and the time ran out on the Greenwaves as Sunbright would come up with the stunner.
Midway travels to Oakdale on Tuesday before hosting Coalfield on Thursday in what is sure to be a physical game. Look for the Midway Maniacs to be out in full force Thursday night.
