If the question was can the Lady Waves still play Fast pitch Softball after the Hannah Colyer era, after the loss of a very talented Senior class? Well, the answer is “Yes they can!!!!
The answer was delivered as the second batter; senior Michele Walden blasted a 2 run homer over the center field fence in her first at bat of the season. Michele pitched the entire game and the green team handed the Kingston Yellow Jackets a convincing 5-1 loss.
In the second game the Lady Waves fell behind 3-0 in the first inning but came roaring back for a 8-3 win against Stone Memorial High school.
In the final game of the Rockwood play date, the Lady Green destroyed the Coalfield Yellow Jackets 16-1 playing everybody on the roster. Freshman Alex Richardson went deep in the third game blasting a homerun over the centerfield fence that was the highlight of the game.
