Was it something in the water?

What h-h-ha-ha-happened? What went wrong? Would’ve/could’ve/should’ve! That’s the questions coming from all of us, the Monday morning Coaches.

The Waves, a heavy favorite, traveled down to Chattanooga and faced a Baptist School that just recently developed a football program and played some of the ugliest football ever witnessed by generations of fence walkers. Silverdale Academy handed the green & white their first lose of the season and left the SOR community puzzled.

But the fact is – – – ..that is why they play the game. Anyone can beat anyone on any given Sunday Friday night. That’s what makes the game of football so great. If you walk onto the field without any emotion or desire to beat down the man in front of you, then you’ll go home with your tail tucked and a big ‘L’ on your forehead.

So what did happen? Who knows – – – who cares – – – .that was last Friday; this Friday is Coalfield, possibly the biggest game of the season.

INJURY UPDATE: Not only was losing on the scoreboard bad enough, but the Waves also have lost their big guy, Big Jon Russell. Big Jon suffered an injury to his foot in the 1st quarter of the game. X-Rays have revealed that his foot is broke and will require a pin. Looks like Big Jon is most likely out for the season. Our thoughts go out to the senior who was on track for another big season.
