One More Yard

Waves continued their troubles on the road with a 20-14 loss to Watertown.

The Waves lead the majority of the game until Watertown took the lead with just minutes to play. However, the Waves were not out. Midway continued to move the ball offensively and had a shot to win it. With seconds remaining, Woody took the snap and hit newcomer, Seth Lyle, who fought for the end zone but would be tackled at the one yard line with 0:00 showing on the clock.

A bright spot for the Waves has been the play of Seth Lyle, who transferred from Loudon High School. Rumors surrounding the kid were that he was real fast, football smart, and had good hands. All of which he has proven as of late. “He will be double covered for the rest of the season” commented Coach Moser. When schools watch film on Midway, the secret will be out and they will now to key on #16.

SORSN didn’t make the trip, hence the lack of coverage and pictures. Thankfully the Waves will be at home this week against Oneida.
