Waves Drown Silverdale

Finally, after 2 weeks on the road, the Greenwave home opener. And despite public outrage, the dashing Mike Hayes was on the mic as the Voice of the Waves.

It was a game the Waves desperately needed in order to work through some “kinks” before region play kicks in. Midway looked to avenge last years huge upset in Chattanooga and they did just that, rolling to a 38-8 win over Silverdale Baptist Academy.

It didn’t take long for the Waves to get on the board. The first play from scrimmage was a pass to William Poe for a nice pick up. The 2nd play was a running play to H Davidson which didn’t get much however, on the next play, it was Poe again for a quick strike. Lyle attempted the PAT but it was no good. 6-0 Green Team. We at SORSN where disappointed a little…we where hoping to see Poe Diddy dance the Poe-Shuffle, or perhaps the “Poe Knows Touch Downs” strut and head shake but we got nothing…will the SORSN Award for Best Dance go unclaimed for a 2nd year in a row?!
