Following a SORSN Player of the Game performance, we had some questions for the senior from Hawk Trial.
SORSN: Coming off a poor 2nd half performance against Rockwood, what areas did the team have to focus on at practice to prepare for the game against Jellico?
Myers: Purty much our whole D needed some improvement.
SORSN: Yes folks, he said “purty”.
SORSN: Typically you play WR but with both QB’s injured you were asked to step in under center. Had you ever played QB before? When were you told that you would be the starting QB against Jellico?
Myers: No! Rockwood was my first high school snap at QB in football my whole football career. That Sunday after Rockwood, but I ain’t skeered.
SORSN: You completed several passes in Friday nights game. What did it feel like being on the other end of a pass?
Myers: It was just as exiting as catching; without getting to turn up field.
SORSN: What all did you have to do to prepare to be the QB against Jellico?
Myers: A lot! Pretty much learn all of our basic plays in one week, but I was happy to except the challenge.
SORSN: What’s your thoughts on being named SORSN Player of the Game?
Myers: Thanks and I hope to be it again soon.
SORSN: Britney or Christina? Kobe or Jordan? Coke or Pepsi? King of the Hill or the Simpsons?
Myers: Neither. please..JORDAN. PowerAde (coach don’t like us to drink cokes). That is a very tough decision that I can’t answer.
