PreSeason Interview with Sophomore receiver, #18 William Poe
SORSN: Tell us about the play in which you caught a TD pass from Lyle in the jamboree against Oliver Springs?
Poe: What can I say about it..I was very nervous cause it was 4th down and the pressure was on me to catch it. Luckily I made an adjustment and it fell in my hands. Seth has a great arm that allows him to do that.
SORSN: Your QB needs to be a leader while out on the field as well as in practice. We know Seth is a great player, is he a leader?
Poe: Well we have many team leaders, Seth is one of them but we have David, Campbell, Cupcake, and Big Chinn. They all step it up and work well under pressure. But yes, on the field he leads and never lets us down.
SORSN: You’re now in your second season with the Waves, what’s different for you coming into this years season opener vs last year?
Poe: This team is a family. I can rely on everyone now to be there for me. And there is a lot more pressure on me than last year. Last year I was just watching from the sidelines versus now I get to work along with David Langley.
SORSN: True or False: Without her hair, Marge Simpson is shorter than Cupcake?
Poe: False, no one is shorter than Cupcake..what is he, 3 ft?
SORSN: Correct. Even without her hair, at 5’4″, Marge Simpson is still taller than Cupcake.
