Interview with Ashton Chinn

SORSN: The team is on pace for what could be a very magical season. At some point during the off season did you have the feeling that this could be a great year for the Waves? If so, when?

Ashton: It was back in spring when I thought we were going to have a BAD season. The Seniors and most of the Juniors have been playing ball together most of our lives, and the team has worked harder this year then in my previous 3 years of playing.

SORSN: The offense has exploded this season. Describe the since of pride you must have to anchor an offensive line that will go down as one, if not the, best rushing teams in school history?

Ashton: Well we just do what we do. We have worked really hard in the off season about technique and doing things right, and continue to work hard every week to come and it has paid off well.

SORSN: The Mohawk seems to be a trend on this year’s team. Tell us how the idea for the Do came about.

Ashton: Well, me and Gasm talked about getting one for the Jamboree to make us look more intimidating and I’ve liked it ever since.

SORSN: Fellow photographer, Travis Jackson, has agreed to go with a Mohawk if the team makes it into the State Tournament. Can we count on you to supply the clippers? Who is the teams barber?

Ashton: For sure, if we got to state; expect the fans and other players on the team to also get one. And as for the barbers, my dad did mine and Seth’s. Coach Steve did Gasm’s and Kyle’s hot mom did Barry’s.

Knowing Travis, he’ll opt for Kyle’s hot mom.

SORSN: At some point in a father’s life, he is faced with a big reality that his son can now physically take him. Can you “take” your old man? What about your older bro?

Ashton: I’m sure my dad can still throw me to ground if he wanted to. But as for my brother, he is a girly man who I show no mercy on.
