Week 2 Pick Panel Predictions

The Waves start the season 0-1 after a tough loss to a very good Wartburg team. This week, the Waves travel to Harriman to face the 0-1 Blue Devils. Harriman lost 15-33 to Kingston last week. Last year, the Blue Devils edged out the Waves, 21-14.

Can the Waves recover and defeat our county demon foes? Boys & gal…make your picks!

Michael Rose:
After last week, I am still of the opinion that the Waves are going to have to show me a win before I am going to go on a limb and pick them in an upset. As much as I hate to do it, I will take Harriman in a tough one.

Barry Narramore:
This team needs a big win, and this week would be a great time for that to happen. Last week the Green had a good chance to lay down and quit, behind 14-0 but they fought back to a 14-14 halftime tie. If not for an uncalled pass interference call on a pass from Viar to Davidson early in the third the Green should have been ahead 21-14.
I’m looking for this team to have gained some experience this last week and win some games. I think this week will be their week. Give me the Green team.
I wouldn’t pick Harriman Blue if Peyton Manning was their QB!!!!

Randy Rose:
Tough loss last week for the Waves. I think the Green will get better and would love to see a win at Harriman this week, but I’m going to pick Harriman at home in a close one.

Ralton Emory:
This week the Waves go across county to battle the Torquoise Demons from Harriman. The Torquoise boys suffered a lost to Kingston last week, but they did have some pretty cool pictures in the local paper. 🙂

I expect the Waves coaching staff to have the guys prepared with an excellent game plan. The Waves will need to respond with a winning attitude. Who knows…there may even be a flea-flicker in the cards or the statue of liberty play up a sleeve.

I hope differently, but I think Harriman will pull this out: Torquoise Demons 21, Midway 14.

Amber Johnson:
Saw some things at the season opener that surprised me. We have a small team, but they played hard and weren’t afraid to put a hit on someone. There were some defensive breakdowns that caused some big yardage plays, but overall the defense swarmed the ball which was good to see.

The first half of the ballgame, the offense had some good moments. The slant pass from (I think) twenty five yards out for a td was a shot in the arm for the green team. We are gonna have to find a way to mix it up on offense though. The passing game suffered late in the game due to no threat on the ground.

Even though, i think we will continue to improve, I have to go with Harriman on this one. Word is they have a pretty good team. Sorry.

If Midway can contain the outside and keep a constant offense they should do ok. If things fall right into place and maybe they got rid of those jitters, Midway could pull one out. So with that said I got Midway pulling a close one out.
