An extra day of preparation wouldn’t have helped Greenback keep up with Midway, who stormed to resounding victories in both the girls’ and boys’ games. The Lady Wave triumphed 61-12, while the boys’ team followed suit with a commanding 73-30 win.
Girls’ Game Recap
The Lady Wave came out strong, with Cawood leading the charge with 15 points. Sophomore sensation Tatum Collier contributed 9 points and snagged 3 rebounds. Abbie Parks added 7 points and a pair of steals, while Chloe Jarnigan dominated the boards with 8 rebounds and chipped in 6 points.
